Mauricios in DC

Antonio’s brother, Angel Mauricio and his son Mauricio came to visit us in DC the end of March 2011. We went to the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument. Antonio went with them to the Bureau of Printing and Engraving and the American History Museum. They spent most of their time there playing with Lego toys in the kid’s discovery center. Mauricio called that museum the play museum. He also called the National History Museum the animal museum. We had a great time with little Mauricio. He loved showing us his awesome dance moves. He and Tonio were really shaking it. We also took them to a great park near our house. Mauricio had a little fall but he loved all the slides and cars. We also went to the Air and Space Museum that is near Dulles Airport. We saw the space shuttle and various aircrafts. Mauricio met Sophie, the three year old daughter of our friend Ali, a meeting that Tonio has been planning since her birth. We think they hit it off. We will see in twenty years. It was fun having the Mauricios with us. We wish that Nadia and Daniel could have been with us too.
